The Maschhoffs, one of North America’s largest family-owned hog production networks, has launched The Maschhoffs Impact, an exciting community outreach initiative designed to strengthen connections between the company’s purpose and the communities where it operates.

"The Maschhoffs Impact represents more than business—it’s about truly engaging with and enhancing the communities we call home,” said Jay Miller, president and CEO. “We’re thrilled to launch this initiative, which will create a lasting, positive influence for generations to come.”

The company noted, "a special thank you goes out to the Community Advisory Panel, whose valuable input has been crucial in shaping The Maschhoffs Impact. Their insight and dedication have ensured this initiative reflects the needs and aspirations of the communities we proudly serve."

Key areas of focus

The Maschhoffs Impact will prioritize four main areas of focus, each designed to cultivate lasting

connections:

  1. Community infrastructure and support: Fostering stronger community foundations through support such as Emergency Response Equipment grants, food insecurity programs and disaster relief initiatives.

  2. 2. Youth engagement: Investing in the next generation by supporting organizations like the FFA Foundation and 4-H, as well as providing grants and sponsorships for youth development in agriculture.

  3. Ag education: Promoting agricultural literacy and career paths through scholarships, educational programs and hands-on learning opportunities.

  4. Employee/partner initiatives: Offering scholarships, donation matching, volunteer days and support for unplanned events to create a positive environment for employees and partners.

Eligible projects must align with one of the focus areas and serve communities where The Maschhoffs support, live and do business in. Proposals can be submitted by employees, partners, or community members and will be reviewed quarterly by The Maschhoffs Impact Board.

Details about how to apply for grants and scholarships, along with program guidelines, are available on the company website.

Success will be measured through metrics like the number of organizations supported, budget allocation and employee volunteer participation. These achievements will be shared across the company and community through regular updates on our website and social media.

“Our goal is to create a legacy of care and collaboration,” added Teri Foster, VP of People and Culture. “We look forward to celebrating the shared successes and the bright future that lies ahead.”
