As I’ll be in an airplane this morning, I’ll be thinking of many of you who will be too. An estimated 51 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more to get to destiantions. This is 3% more than last year. 90% of travel will be by car.

The official White House turkeys are in Washington. Bow and Tie have date with Donald Trump this year. They traveled 1,200 miles from near Alexandria, Minn., to get to the White House.

35-year-old Bachelor star Chris Soules has key court date week from date. Chris will learn whether the case against him will be dropped. He was arrested in Iowa following a fatal car crash in April where his pickup struck a tractor and he left the scene.

You will hear a lot today about Charles Manson. What you may not hear is how Manson’s roots were in Heartland. He was born in Cincinnati. He was sent to Boys Town, where he reportedly told judge he could be happy working around cows and horses. He skipped out of Nebraska. He was last heard of in Midwest in 1957 when he was arrested in Indiana for parole violation.
