I’m not sure how this going to go over, but the head of the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce says it may be time to do away with America’s Dairyland on Wisconsin’s license place. He suggested replacing it with something like “forward.” America’s Dairyland has graced license plates since 1940.

From yesterday’s Crop Progress report: Only 28% of corn crop has been harvested, Iowa has harvested 13% and Minnesota is way behind too.

Soybean harvest is 49% complete, up from 36% complete last week. Indiana is right on place. Too wet Iowa and Minnesota are lagging behind.

It’s been more than six years since tornado tore through Joplin, Missouri, and the school district is still waiting for money from FEMA.
