Authorities in several cities and towns in our region are reviewing monuments to see if they could be construed as racist after weekend's clashes in Charlottesville.

In courtroom in Wisconsin, lawyers are arguing constitutionality of state's butter law. Some say it violates due process, equal protection and free speech. Lawyers for state say it provides consumers with information about quality of butter. 

More black bears showing up in places you wouldn't expect to find them. Black bears, bobcats, coyotes and deer are common parts of landscape in some areas. Older males and younger males are those wandering. Drought puts those bears on the prowl. If you run into bear, identify yourself as human by talking, wave arms, hold your ground.
