Opponents there argue that a foreign country shouldn't be allowed to use eminent domain to build a pipeline across Nebraska that will take oil from a foreign market to a foreign market.

The journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step. Ernie Whaley, a World War II veteran, has been walking the halls of the Muncie Mall in east central Indiana for 35 years. He clocks five miles a day, every day. He thinks about getting older on those walks, which give him plenty of time for reflection, he said.
