As corn harvest is getting underway, the condition of the crop slipped slightly in the last week. The soybean condition has held steady.

Authorities around Des Moines, Iowa, have been looking for a missing 50-year-old man. His body was found, but foul play isn't suspected.

Last Saturday a grandfather in Michigan was stabbed and murdered by a drug user.
