A Fox News channel personality and his family had a close call accident, but thankfully had seatbelts on, which prevented serious injury. And when Max hydroplaned last year, he was also thankful his seatbelt was fastened.

Most first responders will cite one example after another noting how seatbelts save lives. 

In some states, seatbelt usage is below 90%.
