Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) annual meeting will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 25, 2011 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, IA. Iowa Pork Congress kickoff reception and auction is 5-8 p.m.
Iowa Pork Congress opens Jan. 26. Seminars cover environmental regulations and nuisance cases, Pork Quality Assurance Plus training, legislation and trade update from the National Pork Producers Council, genetic potential and genetic improvement of piglet mortality, Transport Quality Assurance training and economic outlook.

On Jan. 27, seminars cover farm accidents, confinement site manure applicator training session, antibiotics in pork production, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus, niche pork business modeling and marketing and swine contracting issues reviewing markets, courts and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
