WOTUS Comment Period Closes Nov. 14

Nov. 14 closes the books on the chance for citizens to comment on the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed Waters of the United States (WOTUS) regulation.

According to a story on The Hill Online, “The EPA is proposing to expand jurisdiction to include small rivers and streams that flow into larger sources of water. … Environmental groups say the rule is needed to protect the nation’s water sources from contamination, but business groups say it would be unduly expensive to comply with, particularly for farmers.”

More information on WOTUS can be found here. Comments can be made online by clicking here.
