Topigs Norsvin USA announces new geneticist

Topigs Norsvin USA announced that Jenelle (Kleinhesselink) Dunkelberger has joined its staff as geneticist. Dunkelberger will be based out of Topigs Norsvin’s Burnsville, Minn., office. In her new role, Dunkelberger’s responsibilities will encompass research and development activities (domestically and internationally), sales and marketing support, customer technical service and allied industry support.

Dunkelberger is a recent graduate of the Animal Science Department at Iowa State University with a PhD in genetics and a minor in statistics. In the summer of 2016, she spent two months as a research intern at the Topigs Norsvin Research Center in Beuningen, The Netherlands. The title of her thesis is “The role of host genetics in susceptibility to viral disease in pigs.”
