Talk to Your Elected Officials During the Summer Recess

Congress is now in recess until after Labor Day.  When it returns there are majors issues that need to be addressed this fall.  The most important for U.S. agriculture is the farm bill which expires on September 30.  Other issues include agriculture appropriations, immigration reform, and the debt ceiling.   Many Congressional members will be traveling their districts during August.  Now is the time to meet with them one on one and let them know that American agriculture need Congress to complete the 2013 farm bill now.
