Acuity Genetics recently welcomed Kevin Schleusner, regional business development manager, to the team. The addition of Schleusner expands opportunities for dedicated customer service and access into new areas of the United States.

A Minnesota native and current resident, Schleusner has been involved in the swine industry for over 30 years. He leaves his role as vice president of a genetics company to join the Acuity Swine team. During his genetic company tenure, Schleusner played an integral role in not only managing a robust team but evaluating industry dynamics and positioning the company for growth. Schleusner will work closely with customers in much the same way, understanding customer needs and working to provide genetic solutions tailored to meeting their system and goals.

According to Schleusner, he is "excited to join the Acuity team and provide our customers with outstanding service and genetic solutions from the Acuity and Fast portfolios."

Acuity leadership welcomes the addition of Schleusner as a key component in Acuity's growth during a time of expansion into new regions in the United States. The recent acquisition by Fast Genetics has solidified growth opportunities, as well expanded the product offering for current and future customers. The cross-access of the product lines as well as implementation of a highly expanded technology toolbox provides an even more robust customer value offering.

"We are excited to get someone of Kevin's background and perspective added to the Acuity team," says Justin Fix, Acuity director of business development and genetic improvement. "With our recent acquisition, the future of Acuity is bright and we are eager to expand the offering for our customers."
