House Republicans are waiting on Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) to determine if he is willing to be the next Speaker of the House of Representatives. He is the only Republican that seems to be able to garner the support of mainstream Republicans and Tea Party members.
So far, he has said he is not interested, but members continue to urge him to run. If he refuses to run, there is no consensus on an alternative at this time.
