Here's how SHIC is protecting U.S. swine herd

Keeping the U.S. swine herd healthy is a full-time coordinated effort. And no one knows this better than Paul Sundberg, Swine Health Information Center executive director.

He shares with National Hog Farmer how SHIC is working hard to minimize the impact of future disease threats through a near real-time domestic and global disease monitoring program. The information made available by these systems will help enable better, faster and more effective response to endemic or foreign infectious production diseases.

Sundberg also gives an update on the global health threats and information now available for U.S. pig farmers on SHIC’s website

Funded by America’s pork producers to protect and enhance the health of the U.S. swine herd, the Swine Health Information Center focuses its efforts on prevention, preparedness and response. Don’t forget to visit the SHIC’s website for complete details on global health threats and keep updated with the latest swine health information.
