It’s often said behind every American family farm is the backbone of the operation, the farm mom. The same can be said of many of our U.S. pork industry moms, as they are involved in just about every facet of hog production. Whether they are holding down the home fort, out in the barn each day, teaching our future swine industry members in the classroom or on the road taking care of their clients’ herd health and production needs, these mothers are not only caring and nurturing our next generation, they are contributing daily to the success of U.S. pork production. Please join National Hog Farmer in giving a shout-out to these mothers as well as all of our hard-working moms this Mother’s Day.
