American author Clarence Budington Kelland once said, “My father didn’t tell me how to live. He lived and let me watch him do it.” Many in the pork industry can probably attest to this quote, with memories flowing of following dad as he walked pens and checked feeders or riding shotgun alongside him in the tractor and helping him run the grain cart. These hardworking dads have taught us responsibility, work ethic, patience and passion all while contributing daily to the success of our U.S. pork production system. Please join National Hog Farmer in giving a shout-out to these fathers as well as all of our hard-working dads this Father’s Day.
