An intensive course concentrating on the scientific basis of modern swine production technology is offered June 12-18 by the University of Illinois (U of I) Department of Animal Sciences.
The course will be an in-depth examination of the emerging science in pig biology and application of new technologies in state-of-the-art production systems, explains U of I’s Gilbert Hollis, coordinator of the Advanced Swine Production technology course.
The course has been designed to follow the World Pork Expo, June 9-11 in Des Moines, IA.
Instructors include Hollis, U of I’s Mike Ellis and another department faculty member, plus several international swine researchers.
