The University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension has released a workshop series for pork producers on DVD.
The workshop series, “Improving Your Ability to Compete in the Pork Industry,” comes on a set of five DVDs, with nearly 19 hours of information, according to Al Prosch, Pork Central coordinator at the university.
On the DVDs, pork industry experts address genetics, nutrition, transportation, marketing, risk management, recordkeeping, country-of-origin labeling, revenue insurance, facilities management, price management in and around contracts and quality concerns in retail and processing.
Producers can order the DVDs for $30 each or buy all five for $125. To order the DVDs or view sample clips, visit the Pork Central Web site at http://porkcentral.unl.edu/ .
