Midwest Swine Nutrition Conference Scheduled Sept. 4

Three invited addresses and five research reports from the organizing committee will be given at the 14th annual Midwest Swine Nutrition Conference on Sept. 4, 2014. The first invited address will be "Deliver the Promise: Design for the Next Generation of Agricultural Leaders." Academia is changing - how do we meet personnel needs in agriculture? The second and third addresses will deal with fiber for pigs, which is a very important topic for the pork industry. Presentations will also cover a multi-disciplinary assessment of the broad topic of feed efficiency. Greater production with limited resources requires an extreme understanding of the biology of the conversion of feed to edible tissue.

The conference will be held at the Indiana Farm Bureau Building, Indianapolis, IN.

This conference is directed toward pork producers, the feed industry, consulting nutritionists, and swine veterinarians interested in cutting-edge swine nutrition and feeding. The conference registration fee is $100 per person through August 20, and $150 per person thereafter.  For further information, contact Merlin Lindemann at (859) 257-7524 or [email protected].
