Missouri Groups Develop Energy-Saving Program

The Missouri Department of Agriculture, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the University of Missouri Extension, the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority and EnSave, Inc. have developed MAESTRO to provide livestock operations with energy audits, loans and rebates to install energy-saving equipment for farms and farm residences.

MAESTRO stands for Missouri Agricultural and Energy Saving Team – A Revolutionary Opportunity.

Options include comprehensive energy audits, rebates on energy audit cost when equipment is installed, loan interest rate buy-down to 3% or equivalent amount in cash down payment and 75% loan loss reserve program.

To learn more, contact EnSave at (800) 732-1399 to have an initial assessment completed to determine whether an energy audit is appropriate for the farm operation. Interested parties can also go to the Missouri Department of Agriculture Web site for more information, http://mda.mo.gov.
