U.S. House should have new speaker by end of the week

Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) officially jumped into the race for Speaker of the House of Representatives to replace Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).

With the endorsements of the Republican Study Committee, the Tuesday Group and a majority of the Freedom Caucus, Ryan has secured enough votes to be elected Speaker on Oct. 29.
