The 49th Annual South Dakota Pork Congress brought in good crowds Jan. 10-11 to the Ramkota Hotel and Exhibit Hall in Sioux Falls. Glenn Muller, South Dakota Pork Producers Council executive director, says the annual meeting and trade show continue to show steady growth.

Two full days of meetings and seminars awaited state pork producers and industry supporters. Wednesday, the first day of the event, began with the Checkoff annual meeting and the election of the Pork Act Delegates.

Producers could hone their skills and get certified for Pork Quality Assurance Plus and Transport Quality Assurance, as well as attend a swine industry economic outlook and listen to Brad and Peggy Greenway’s presentation “Tails, Tips & Travelology.”
