Hardin Nominated for USDA Post

Krysta Harden has been nominated to serve as USDA’ Deputy Secretary.  Harden has served as chief of staff to Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack since 2011.  Previously, Harden served as assistant secretary for congressional relations from 2009-2011.  Earlier, she was the chief executive officer of the National Association of Conservation Districts and at one time served on the staff of the House Agriculture Committee.  Harden is highly respected by the agricultural community.
