Krysta Hardin has been confirmed by the Senate to serve as deputy secretary of agriculture.  Prior to confirmation, she served as chief of staff to Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack. 

Hardin is very respected by the agricultural community.  The Senate also confirmed Robert Bonnie as USDA’s under secretary for Natural Resources and Environment.
