Congress Returns

Congress returned this week from its summer recess but will only be in session for approximately two weeks before leaving until after the Nov. 4 election. The main item for the House and Senate will be passing a short-term continuing resolution (CR) to keep the government running until early/mid-December. A number of other key items (tax extenders, tax reform, immigration reform, trade, etc.) will be left for the lame-duck session in November-December or will be carried over until next year.
