Christensen Farms names chief financial officer

Christensen Farms & Feedlots Inc. announces that Matthew Bremer has been named vice president and chief financial officer effective April 10.

“Matt joins Christensen Farms with nearly 25 years of experience across a wide variety of businesses leading finance, accounting and operational teams,” says Glenn L. Stolt, chief executive officer. “He has a solid track record of working closely with business leaders to improve the existing operating platform while pursuing future strategic and operational objectives. He is a welcomed addition to an already strong team and will play a critical role in the future success of Christensen Farms.”

Prior to joining Christensen Farms, Bremer held the position of CFO at Gold N’ Plump Co., a $500-million poultry slaughtering and processing company located in St. Cloud, Minn.. Prior to GNP, Bremer also spent time with other companies, including Nash Finch, a Minnesota-based grocery retailer and wholesaler; The Bama Cos., an Oklahoma-based family-owned baked goods manufacturer; and Del Monte Foods, a San Francisco-based fruit and vegetable manufacturer. Bremer holds a bachelor of arts degree in Mathematics, Management and Philosophy from St. John’s University and a master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Corporate Finance and Strategy from the School of Management at Yale University.
