Capitol Hill celebrates Hot Dog Day

Over 1,000 Senators, Congressmen, staff, and agricultural and meat industry representatives gathered on Capitol Hill to celebrate National Hot Dog Month by eating over 3,500 hot dogs and talking baseball.

Three former baseball players, Tony Perez (Hall of Fame, three World Series champions, and seven-time All-Star), Bill Buckner (All-Star and 1980 National League batting champion), and Mookie Wilson (1986 World Series champion), were on hand to help with the festivities. This is one of the most popular events on Capitol Hill.
